Packaging & Presentation

Packaging for Goods

I prefer simple, clean packaging. It keeps things professional, affordable, and easy to restock.

Below are some of the packaging and labeling items I rely on regularly for both my retail herb shop and product prep. Each link goes to the exact (or closest current) product I use on Amazon.

  • Glass jars with metal lids – my go-to for salves and balms

  • Plastic jars with metal lids - I use these for products that are not hot - like scrubs and body butters

  • Amber glass bottles (various sizes) – for tinctures, syrups, and extracts

  • Plastic-free bag options – compostable or biodegradable bags for eco-friendly packaging

🏷️ Labels & Stickers

  • Full-sheet sticker paper – perfect for printing custom labels (I cut mine to size as needed)

  • Pre-cut round and rectangle labels – for jars, bottles, and pouches

  • Clear glossy label paper – gives a clean, professional look for salves and oils

  • Permanent markers & fine-tip pens – for quick labeling and touch-ups

🎁 Finishing Touches

  • Twine, kraft tags, and paper ties – simple ways to dress up seasonal items

  • Small wooden scoops or spoons – ideal for bath blends and herbal salts

  • Shrink bands – for sealing bottles and giving finished products a polished look

🌿 Bags & Containers

  • Kraft paper stand-up pouches – great for loose leaf tea blends, dried herbs and seasonal simmer pot potpourri. I buy a few different sizes. Even though I sell a lot of these items in the bulk sections for self-serve I find that is sometimes intimidating for folks especially new to the store of herbs in general. ready to see packages do well.

  • I use these two sizes below the most.

  • The 3 by 9 are good for 1/2-1 ounce herbs or tea blends.

  • The 5 by 8 are good for 1.5 - 2 ounces according to the herbs.

  • Here is a link to the bags in varying sizes.

These are the white stand up pouches; I use them each year for my DIY Elderberry Syrup Kits. I just love the while with the purple, so it is just a aesthetic decision.

The muslin drawstring bags are good for packaging herbs for baths and soaks. These can be filled and then stuffed in larger Kraft bags and then labeled.

Here are the ones I have used. I have used both sizes for different applications.
